East Preston Festival 2012

The Carnival photos for 2012 are now available

The festival week (1-10 June) coincided with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee week and the joint themes are the celebrations of this event and the Olympics coming to London.

A free 32 page re-designed festival programme detailing over 100 community events was produced and, due to the generosity of the Parish Council, delivered to every household in East Preston.

You can see an online version of the Festival Programme by clicking this link

This year's festival brought the return of many popular events including Ark Nappy Run/Challenge (2 June), Girl Guides Summer Fayre (2 June), Festival Songs of Praise (3 June) and Open Gardens/Art Trail (6/7 June). There were also many new events.

NEW in DECEMBER - Job Vacancies and Articles

We added a new section called ARTICLES, and we invite you to contribute. Thanks to Aby at The Creation Station for the first one, which should help you with any bored kids during the winter weeks. Please spread the word around the village!

We also added a JOB VACANCY page to the Village website, and provided the ability for businesses and organisations to add any vacancies they may have. You could be the first to add a job vacancy if you're looking for someone for your business, organisation, charity or club.

Thursday 25 November by-election

Results are now on the NEWS page. We were approached by some residents, seeking more information on the candidates for this week's by-election to elect new councillors. So, we sent a request to the candidates, and asked them to send us a statement that we can put on this site. Please visit the by-election page for more information.
