Every Wednesday, bring along your latest crafty projects to work on over a drink and a chat. Knitting, sewing, crochet, needlework etc. All crafts and abilities welcome. Quiz Night (Royal British Legion Club, The Street, East Preston)

Enjoy a fun quiz night at the Royal British Legion Club. Entry fee is £4 per person with a maximum of five to a table. There will be a cash bar, raffle, nibbles on each table and prizes for the winning team. All proceeds in aid of St Barnabas House Hospice. Brighton Welsh Male Voice Choir Concert with Harp Soloist (The New School Hall, EP Junior School, St Mary’s Drive Entrance, BN17 1EZ )

Enjoy the beautiful harmonies of massed choir singing that originated in the valleys of Wales. The Choir consists of forty men – not all entirely Welsh in origin - drawn from all parts of Sussex. Bees Wax Food Wrap Workshop (East Preston Infant Schools)

Come along and learn how to make your own bees wax food wraps. These can take the place of cling film and reduce the need for tin foil.

Two halls selling vintage memorabilia including ceramics, glass, silver, art deco and art nouveau, jewellery and postcards. A delightful selection of locally made handcrafted items and original gifts will be available at the East Preston Festival Committee’s Spring Craft Fair. Old Kingston – an Illustrated Ralk by Margaret Gilbert (John de Bohun Room, Woodlands Centre, Woodlands Avenue, Rustington BN16 3HB )

In Kingston, East Preston’s isolated and quieter neighbour, two historic former homes of the Olliver and Candy families still stand amidst open fields, old flint cottages and dead-end tracks. Margaret’s talk looks at the history of this relatively untouched place, as well as the changing fortunes of its two great houses through the ages. All welcome – Heritage Association members £1; visitors £3 (pay at the door).
